Welcome to Connections Project at Illinois State University!
The goal of the Connections Project is to assist the Illinois State Board of Education in initiating pilot programs in High Schools That Work. High Schools That Work (HSTW) is a national initiative designed to prepare students for careers and further education by improving curriculum and instruction in high schools and middle grades. Through the project, Connections will assist in the effort to raise performance in low-performing and urban high schools, while raising the standards in career/technical education. Connections Project staff will work with educational personnel and leaders throughout the state of Illinois to improve the basic skills, technological literacy, and employability levels of all students.
